Karen is a ‘gentle but tough when necessary’ trainer. She is a hard working, busy, popular member of the team and looks after a large number of our clients. Her retention rate is staggering as people simply love her warm, quiet, empathetic but strong style of training. However, don’t be fooled by her gentle exterior, she is a kick ass Brazilian Ju Jitsu artist and martial arts trainer. Her journey into health, fitness and martial arts started with a simple self-defense class when she was 14 Karen is a certified personal trainer through ACE and a Fitness nutrition specialist through NASM
Matt McDuffie- CPT, FNS,CES
At almost 400lbs Matt decided to change his life in 2013 after biting into a under cooked piece of chicken. That same day he went to his local recreation center and purchased a membership for a year. The next day he went and started walking on the treadmill and he remembers the following day after getting out of bed his feet felt like they were on fire, he powered through and continued to go. He decided to starts studying for his personal trainers certification through NASM so as he says to understand what he needed to do to get him on his journey right. As he started to see results not just in the mirror but with his cardio respiratory health he knew he wanted to spread the gift of health and help others who feels there is no way to change. He obtain his NASM CPT and quickly continued to study to obtain his Fitness Nutritional Specialist (FNS) Senior Fitness Specialist (SFS) Youth Fitness Specialist (YFS), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), TRX Instructor, and Certified Health and Fitness Coach through American Council on Exercise (ACE). He works with a multitude of clients ranging from Young to Old. He is so passionate about health and fitness and is training to complete his first triatholon in 2015.
